Bangkok - The Sukhotai Bangkok

Wine & Dine - Style & Amazingly delicious....

My Experience at The Sukhothai Bangkok was unbelievable. Take a look at this video and you will understand why.

Now I've travelled quite a bit and i must say the Italian Cuisine and the Chocolate Buffet was far better than anything I have tried in Italy or Switzerland.

If you are ever in Bangkok, be sure to visit the Sukhothai and I promise  you wont be sorry. If you are ever there on a Sunday please be sure to try their Sunday brunch as its to die for. They have absolutely everything... from Oysters to Lobsters to a wide selection of cheese and pastries..... the list goes on ... and as i Write this my mouth is beginning to water.

Apart from the food that was amazingly delicious was the  hospitality that was shown to me by the chefs from Chef Jimmy who was a star with his bubbly personality he kept me smiling throughout my stay to Chef  Mauruzio who made me experience a true Italian meal... he was as passionate about creating delicious dishes as much i was passionate in eating them.... :) .... I had a fantastic time with Chef Laurent .... i had a long chat with him and learnt so much about his passion and why he loved Bangkok so much.... The Chocolate Buffet was a killer... I mean who doesnt like chocolate....

There was something that i truely loved which was the Almond Croissant... it was unbelievable... I even ordered to take some back.... but Hey guess what I forgot to collect them.... So i DO have a valid Reason of heading back to the Sukhothai Bangkok.... :)

French in Delhi? Who would have thought...

Class and astonishingly Delicious

The Orient Express at the Taj Palace in Delhi .... hmmmm where can i start... I only heard that good french was served here but you know when everyone talks about good food it is often a time over rated and that too in a hotel.

But in India, things are slightly different as compared to the rest of the world... the best restaurants are most definitely found at hotels. Yes i kid you not, the food was simply devine. As i write im taken back to the taste that was lingering and teasing my taste buds... something that will last a long time till i make way to Delhi again.

This restaurant has been around for 30 years or so and recently went thru some refurbishing which is set against majestic decor and it feels you are in a top notch train 5 star luxury as they call it on the Orient Express.

I stepped into the carriage and was shown to my table, had a little chat with Rishabh who hosted me that night and gave me the run down of the this beautiful french restaurant in the heart of Delhi. Dinner is served based on a set menu of either a 4 course or a 3 course meal. I asked Rishabh to recommend me the best but of course his reply was simple and expected... everything is good here Sasha.... but it was hard to choose everything looked really inviting. So he helped me out eventually

Well this what i got :

Mini Croissants with Duck Liver Pate

Escalope of Duck Foie Gras

Normandy Camembert Cheese Souffle

French Duck Breast

Warm Chocolate Pudding

Now just reading that alone I'm sure your mouth is watering.... just imagine how i felt when i actually took a bite of this simply heaven on earth feeling of  great food in my mouth. I initially thought i wasnt going to finish all this but to my disbelief i did.... Chef D N Sharma was a warm bubbly person and so his food was as warm and stayed very true to an amazing french cuisine. Service at the OE was impressive. I always love to be treated with care and attentiveness and this place has an art in doing so.

The mini croissants were so cute to look at and it tasted so good with the chicken liver pate. I just couldn't stop nibbling. I have never tried camembert souffle before ... n it was really good. What blew my mind was the truffle mushroom soup in a sort of expresso cup... just the right size and it looked like cappuccino. I would go back just for that. It was really a tantalizing taste escapade for me. My belly was a happy person.

Ive been to France and in to may french restaurants around the Asia and Europe but I have never tasted the duck cooked to perfection like it was here. The wine pairing that went along with the duck under Chef Sharma's recommendation was perfect. For a chef of many many years of experience it was passion and dedication that makes his food stand out insanely great as compared to the rest. For a person who has never been to France... your french is excellent... Thumbs up!

We later sat and enjoyed dessert together and he was simply waiting for me to say something about the Chocolate Pudding but i was speechless..... oh my word ... it was soooooo good.... Not too sweet, warm chocolate literally flowing out and with a touch of vanilla ice cream it was to die for.

The team at the OE were great. They worked hand in hand into serving the best of the best. From the cuisine to the ambience and service it was all dining with class and comfort and made one feel like a really special person.

Red Sky Langkawi ....

Semi Class ...

The best time to visit the Red Sky is literally when the skies are Red .... Once the sun is slowly setting you can opt to sit at the al fresco section of this quaint little resto down town Cenang beach.... With the birds chipping and a collection of oldies in the background it's just what you want to hear on a relaxing beach holiday in Langkawi.

Very tastefully designed with a touch of modernity, the Red Sky has something very special. I reckon it's the warmth that each and every staff brings out to you and tries to reach you and makes you feel at home in an instant.

The bar was also something that was pretty inviting and when they mentioned over 50 cocktails are available I broke out into a cheeky smile... Wan the bartender has magic in his hands I tell you... From style to taste he has it all.

The food varies from western to middle eastern, going from Asian to Mexican as well.... A must try is their lamb shanks Moroccan style I reckon one of the best on the island.... And of course the beef nachos goes well with magaritas.... On the Asian side their home made prawn spring rolls were extremely delicious....

If you like to nibble your way through dinner coupled with some exciting mixture of cocktails and old tunes playing in the background then this is somewhere not to be missed while in Langkawi.
